Intercultural Bridges Foundation was created to strengthen cultural relations between Venezuela and other nations through social work.
With the intention of culturally interrelating our country with other latitudes through social work, the foundation “Puentes Interculturales” was born, with the aim of creating opportunities for the development of the most needy and vulnerable communities, and that they have their space to grow and develop extensively.
Intercultural Bridges, as its name suggests, seeks to connect cultures and needs, based on social inclusion and multiculturalism.
Jocselyn Porco as director, Galip Ilter founder and entrepreneur of Turkish origin and Ambassador Julio César Pineda, are part of the board of directors who have the responsibility and commitment to create more Intercultural Bridges between societies and cultures that elevate the growth of our country and its people.
“We want to be architects of projects with viability, where high-impact works are built that last over time, based on four lines of action, that allow integration and that bring together strategic objectives that will impact and transform society”, highlighted Porco at the presentation of the organisation.
For his part, one of the founding members, Galip Ilter, made an analogy for the creation of the foundation with that of a tree, which always needs water to grow and maintain itself, being clear that its roots are in the soil where it decided to grow “Even a small drop of water is a contribution to an idea like Intercultural Bridges”. The businessman also stressed the importance of creating bridges not only between Turkey and Venezuela but also to expand to other cultures.
The Camerata de Caracas, in the framework of its 45th anniversary, was the ideal space for the launching of Intercultural Bridges, with a concert called “Songs for the soul, memory and love” where the audience could enjoy a repertoire conducted by the maestro Isabel Palacios and the voices of the Camerata de Caracas.
The event was attended by various personalities from the diplomatic and business world as well as allies and implementing partners of the social projects that Puentes Interculturales seeks to initiate, hand in hand with its sister organisations such as Fundación Huellas de Bondad and Fundación Orbeex.
